REGIONAL DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR TAMIL NADU, PUDUCHERRY,  

ANDHRA PRADESH, KARNATAKA, KERALA AND LAKSHADWEEP.

SATURDAY,  4TH  FEBRUARY 2012  / 15TH MAGHA, 1933 (SAKA)  

 

  SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HRS IST:-                                          

               

Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

           

            Cold wave condition prevailed over parts of Telangana.

 

            The minimum temperature fell appreciably at a few places over Coastal Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over North Interior Karnataka, fell at a few places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over South Kerala, rose appreciably at one or two places over rest South Kerala, rose at one or two places over Interior Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and changed  little elsewhere over the region.

 

             They were appreciably below normal at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana, below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, at one or two places over rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, North Coastal Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over South Kerala and remained normal over the rest of the region.

 

            Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

 

WEATHER FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 6TH FEBRUARY 2012:

Isolated rain may occur over South Coastal Tamil Nadu, South Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over rest Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, North Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

 

COLD WAVE WARNING:

Cold wave conditions would prevail over parts of Telangana during next two nights.

 

FORECAST FOR CHENNAI CITY AND NEIGHBOURHOOD:

For next 24 hours:

The sky conditions would be partly cloudy. Minimum temperature would be around 21 degree Celsius.

For next 48 hours:

The sky conditions would be partly cloudy. Minimum temperature would be around 21 degree Celsius.

 

FARMERS WEATHER BULLETIN FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 6TH FEBRUARY 2012:

         Isolated light to moderate rain may occur over South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Mainly fair weather will prevail over rest Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Slight increase in rainfall for South Tamil Nadu and No significant change for North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry .
