Information on Deep Depression

                        The depression over southwest Bay of Bengal centre close to Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) moved further westwards and weakened into a well marked low pressure area over Sri Lanka and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal at 2030 hours IST of today, the 07^th December 2008.

                       Under its influence, rainfall at many places with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over south Tamilnadu and adjoining Delta districts of north Tamilnadu during next 24 hours.
