KARNATAKA, KERALA COASTS AND LAKSHADWEEP AREA

KARNATAKA: 

Strong wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting 65kmph likely to prevail along & off Karnataka coast.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea.

High waves in the range of 2.5 - 3.8 meters are forecasted during 05:30 hours on 01-06-2020 to 23:30 hours of 02-06-2020 along the coast of Karnataka from Mangalore to Karwar.

KERALA:

Strong wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting 65kmph likely to prevail along & off Kerala coast.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea.

High waves in the range of 2.3 - 3.5 meters are forecasted during 05:30 hours on 01-06-2020 to 23:30 hours of 02-06-2020 along the coast of Kerala from Pozhiyoor to Kasargod.

 

LAKSHADWEEP AREA: 

Strong wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting 65kmph likely to prevail over Lakshadweep area. 

Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea.

High waves in the range of 3.0 - 3.8 meters are forecasted during 05:30 hours on 01-06-2020 to 23:30 hours of 02-06-2020 along the coast of Lakshadweep Islands from Minicoy to Bitra.

 

SPECIAL WEATHER WARNING:

A Low Pressure Area over Southeast & adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area now lies as Well Marked Low Pressure area over the same region. It is very likely to concentrate into a Depression over Eastcentral & adjoining Southeast Arabian Sea during next 12 hours and likely to intensify further into a Cyclonic Storm over Eastcentral Arabian Sea during the subsequent 24 hours.

Day 1(01.06.2020): Strong wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph over southeast & adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep area and along & off Kerala coast. Sea conditions are very likely to be rough to Very Rough over southeast & adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area and along & off Kerala Karnataka-Maharashtra coasts.

Deep sea fishermen out at sea over these areas are advised to return to coast immediately.

Day 2(02.06.2020): Gale wind, speed reaching 65-75 kmph gusting to 85 kmph over Eastcentral Arabian Sea and along & off Karnataka, south Maharashtra coast. Sea conditions are very likely to be Very Rough to High over Eastcentral & adjoining southeast Arabian Sea and along & off Karnataka-south Maharashtra coasts.

Day 3(03.06.2020): Gale wind, speed reaching 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph, over Eastcentral Arabian Sea and along & off Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts. Sea conditions are very likely to be high to Very High over Eastcentral Arabian Sea and along & off Maharashtra coast. 

Day 4(04.06.2020): Gale wind, speed reaching 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph, over Eastcentral Arabian Sea and along & off Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts. Sea conditions are very likely to be high to Very High over Eastcentral Arabian Sea and along & off Maharashtra coast.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during the period mentioned.
